Since we had to put my mom in a home my dad has found himself having to take care of cards for all types of occaisions. Rather than go to the local store, he picks up the phone and gives me a call. It all started at Christmas when he wanted to send a few cards to friends so I gave him a stash to keep onhand to use when he thought of someone. Then there was his cousin’s birthday and my nephew’s graduaion. I was touched when he called me a couple days ago and asked if I could make a card for his long time friend and former business partner. I remember as a kid my dad and his friend always worked on car repairs together. So I pulled out the Geared Up Garage stamp set and set out to make something that reminded me of the times they had spent together. When I gave it to my dad, he even got a little choked up. I think I must have gotten it right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
